To provide course attendees with the necessary information for safe use, dressing, storage, handling and transportation of abrasive and buffing wheels.

- Instruction for each class or description of abrasive and buffing wheels
- State the reason for a register of appointed persons to be kept for persons who are authorized to fit and use abrasive and buffing wheels
- Hazards associated from the use of abrasive and buffing wheels
- Methods of marking as to type and speed
- Methods of storing, handling and transporting
- Proper method of dressing of abrasive and buffing wheels
- Correct and incorrect methods of assembling all components and correct balancing of abrasive and buffing wheels
- The Abrasive Wheels Regulations 1970 including The Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998. (PUWER)
- Angle grinders, portable cut off saw and bench top cut off saw
