PPE – Checks, Use and Maintenance
Table Top Demonstration Exercise
Breathing Apparatus Pre-Use and Daily Inspections
Correct Methods for Donning and Doffing SCBA
Breathing Apparatus and Control Board Procedures from leaders point of view
Review of rescue equipment
A number of practical exercises involving different scenarios to enable delegates to practice:
- Leadership skills
- Maintaining communications
- Allocation and confirmation of team and individual duties and tasks
- Monitoring the team progress, evaluating, adjusting and communicating the response plan
- Initiation of servicing and replenishing equipment and stocks
Debriefing the team
- Cleaning Equipment Used
- Question and Answers
The course includes ongoing, daily assessment of the competence and skill attainment level of each candidate and a final overall written assessment.
