Aims

The aim is to provide learners with the basic knowledge and practical skills involved in Rigging and Fleeting Loads to the NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) standard.

Learning Outcomes

Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and their roles and responsibilities for performing rigging and
fleeting loads tasks.

Have a working knowledge of the manufacturers handbooks or guidelines for the equipment to be used and have an understanding of P.U.W.E.R,
L.O.L.E.R, Working at Height, Manual Handling, Risk assessments and
awareness of International standards.

Operate and supervise rigging and fleeting loads by mechanical advantage over, around, through and under obstacles safely in accordance with a lift plan pack.

Perform and participate in a tool box talk with team and communicate the control measures written within the risk assessment provided with the lift plan pack for a specific task as a  supervisory role for basic and intermediate categories.
